CAPACITY

Lilac Shanty Craft Retreat can accommodate up to 12 guests. Cost per person is dependent on the number of retreat attendees in your group.

PAYMENT

• We accept PayPal, Square, or personal check (all checks returned as non-sufficient funds will incur a $25 fee).

• The group’s organizer is responsible for collecting payments from the rest of the group and submitting payment to Lilac Shanty.

• Deposit is due within two weeks of reservation with the remaining balance due at least 60 days prior to your stay. If the balance is not received by 60 days prior to your stay, the reservation will be cancelled, and the deposit will be forfeited.

CHECK-IN AND CHECK-OUT

• Check-in = Friday (or first day) 8 am.

• Check-out = Sunday 2 pm.

CHANGES & CANCELLATIONS

• You may change the dates of your retreat before 90 days of your stay dependent on calendar availability. Your deposit and any other payments made will be applied to the new reservation dates.

• You will receive a full refund if the reservation is cancelled prior to 90 days of your stay.

• If cancelling within 90 days of your stay, you will forfeit the full cost of your retreat. However, if a replacement group is found for your dates, you will receive a refund minus the $250 deposit.

• Weather in Northeast Wisconsin is unpredictable in every season. Please be aware of this when making your reservation, especially in the winter months. We cannot be held responsible for weather related travel issues or other problems that may come up affecting your stay.

LAST DAY CLEANUP

Before check-out the property must be returned to its original state. Please clean up your workspaces, wash all dishes and/or place in dishwasher and run. Strip beds of all linen and leave in a pile at the end of the bed. Place towels in one of the bathroom hampers. Incomplete clean up may result in an additional charge.

GARBAGE & RECYCLING

Please place garbage and recycling in the appropriate containers. We recycle paper, glass, and cans. The big garbage bins are located on the deck. Extra garbage bags can be found underneath the sink in the kitchen.

RESTRICTIONS

• No smoking in the house and no pets allowed. Smoking outside is permitted, but please dispose of cigarette butts in the appropriate containers located on both the upper and lower decks.

• No pets allowed.

DAMAGES

Accidents happen! Please contact us immediately if something is broken so we can fix or replace it as soon as possible. Renters are responsible for any damage to the property during their stay. Damage is anything beyond normal wear and tear or because of misuse. If items are found to be missing or damaged, an invoice for repair or replacement will be sent to the group’s organizer. Examples of damage include but are not limited to broken kitchen appliances and damage to tables and chairs. Normal wear and tear includes broken dishes, wear on the carpet, and scuffs on the walls.

PERSONAL PROPERTY

Lilac Shanty is not responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged personal property.

PERSONAL INJURY

Lilac Shanty is not responsible for personal injury to guests.

PHOTOS/QUOTES

Guests consent to the use of their photos or quotes from the guestbook and social media in marketing materials for Lilac Shanty.

***By paying the deposit, you agree to all Lilac Shanty policies. It is the responsibility of the group organizer to be sure that all members of their group are aware of and agree to the polices set forth by Lilac Shanty.
